Server/Dietary Aide (Summerfield of Hammond)

Summerfield of Hammond, a retirement community, is looking to hire friendly Server/Dietary Aide for our dietary department. You will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary conditions in cooking and dining premises. A Dietary Aide/Server must be capable of assisting with food preparation by following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. They must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

We will be interviewing qualified candidates for all shifts. You will be serving our senior residents, so a serving heart is required!

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Meal Service
• Deliver meals to designated rooms at designated times
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbageClean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• May assist with meal preparation under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook

Skills

• Proven experience as a dietary aide
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions
• Aptitude in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
