Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living's Village at Brookfield Common in Brookfield, CT is seeking a Server to join our dining team. You will foster a clean, welcoming dining environment and provide friendly, personalized service to residents.

You will take orders, serve meals, set up trays, assist residents with choices, and help prepare the dining room for the next service. We offer benefits and opportunities to grow with a compassionate, community-focused company.

Qualifications

• Must follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department regulations for food service operations.
• Must be able to serve residents promptly and efficiently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Primarily a standing position and required to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.
