Description

Position Summary

Provides exceptional service and dining experiences to guests. Responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive and friendly service. Performs food and beverage activities in support of the restaurant in accordance with outlet service guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service, establishing a perception of exceptional hospitality and friendliness.
• Manages orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff.
• Promotes menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance satisfaction and revenue.
• Adheres to all laws and regulations regarding alcohol service, including age verification and responsible beverage service.
• Monitors and intervenes with intoxicated guests, handling situations tactfully and notifying supervisors as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of property information, upcoming events, and local points of interest.
• Processes payments accurately and efficiently.
• Performs opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Participates in daily meetings to stay informed.
• Follows food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of dining areas.
• Communicates with supervisors regarding guest issues.
• Punctuality and attendance are essential.

Additional Responsibilities

Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Builds positive relationships with guests, demonstrating empathy and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• At least 1 year of experience as a waiter/waitress or in food service.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Complete NM Food Handlers course upon hire.
• Obtain and maintain NM Alcohol Server's License.
• Pass background checks and drug screening.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions. Must lift at least 25 pounds, stand, walk, sit, and crouch for extended periods. Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays. Tasks include balancing, climbing, crawling, feeling, dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, and other physical activities.

The job may involve hazards such as noise, dust, and uneven surfaces. Management reserves the right to modify duties as needed.
