Position Summary
Under general direction from the Restaurant Services Supervisor, responsible for maintaining an efficient and profitable restaurant operation by obtaining guest orders, delivering food, drinks, and merchandise to guests, and serving guests in an efficient and pleasant manner. Accurately execute guest transactions, including entering orders, tabulating bills, and receiving guest payments according to established policies and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare all food and beverage items in accordance with prep sheets and standard recipes.
- Display all food and merchandise per ServSafe and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain inventory and supplies, and prepare food based on business volume and directives from Supervisors using par levels.
- Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively.
- Handle cash adhering to Casino-wide, Food, and Beverage Policies and Procedures, including counting cash and inputting tips.
- Keep dining area tables clean and maintained throughout the shift.
- Clean shelves, counters, and windows regularly.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times, including food and display equipment.
- Set up and maintain stations, and prepare food.
- Ensure display cases and refrigerators are clean and stocked.
- Maintain an organized work area for guest interaction and safety.
- Respond to guest questions about food venues, beverages, and casino information.
- Properly bag or package guest purchases.
- Follow proper order-taking and service standards.
- Greet customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Remain attentive to guests throughout the dining experience, exceeding customer service standards when possible.
- Memorize menu items, recipes, and specials to assist guests and make recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, wait stations, and kitchen, adhering to health regulations.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking and cleaning.
- Manage guest checks following established procedures, ensuring accuracy of payments.
- Attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings to stay informed about products and services.
- Provide timely and knowledgeable responses to customer inquiries and comments.
- Report maintenance or housekeeping issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Follow safety and customer service policies.
- Contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as required.
- Practice responsible alcohol service as trained.
- Promote special offerings and upselling to enhance guest experience.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items and preparation methods.
- Maintain proper health, sanitation, and food handling principles.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required unless waived. Six months of customer service experience required. Food and Beverage and cash handling experience preferred. Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background check, and obtain/maintain gaming license.

- Knowledge of restaurant operations, food service principles, and menu items.

- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and interpret instructions.
Physical Demands
Regularly talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and handle objects. Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity required includes close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.
Work Environment
May be exposed to cigarette smoke, noisy environments, indoor and outdoor conditions, extreme temperatures, and weather. Work hours include nights, weekends, and holidays.
