Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is seeking an experienced Server Captain to lead dining service within a dynamic, high-volume environment. You will greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service in a premium casino resort setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a Captain or 5+ years as a Server, can carry trays up to 10 lbs, maintain composure under pressure, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years as a Captain or five (5) years as a Server in a high-volume restaurant required.
• Must be able to carry trays that weigh a minimum of 10lbs. on one arm.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and maintain physical stamina.
• Must be reliable with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and able to interact with guests, co-workers and supervisory staff in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Take guest orders, serve food and drinks, and handle payments following cash handling procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen expeditor and ensure accuracy of orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adapt to a busy casino dining environment.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Server Captain to join our team!

These individuals will be the key points of contact for guests throughout their dining experience. They must have the ability to work well with the team and provide the utmost level of hospitality to our guests.

Essential Job Functions:

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina.
• Proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, physical ability to access all areas of the facility, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighting up to 40 lbs without restriction.
• Must be congenial and have neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
• Must be reliable and conscientious, possess the ability to interact (in English) with guests, co-workers and supervisory staff.
• Must be accurate and detail oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to act quickly and exercise good judgment under pressure and/or conflict situations is a must.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as needed.
• Greet and serves guests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Take guest orders, serves food and drinks, and collects monies in a courteous and efficient manner. Adhere to cash handling procedures.
• Is familiar with all menu specifications and abbreviations.
• Adheres to food & beverage policies, procedures, state liquor laws, state food safety handler regulations and all related training material.
• Knowledgeable of restaurant (ordering) systems; expediting systems.
• Communicates with kitchen expeditor; checks order duplicates for correctness; communicates discrepancies to the expeditor.
• Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
• Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
• Handles and solves any concerns and questions customers may have or relays guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate Manager on duty.
• Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Perform other assignments as directed.
