AMD is seeking an enthusiastic Datacenter Firmware Engineer in Austin, TX to help advance EPYC BIOS solutions. You will develop firmware for server platforms, collaborating with silicon design, platform, and validation teams to ensure high quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in BIOS/firmware with strong C skills, x86 knowledge, and experience with server interfaces. This full-time role is based in Austin with opportunities to influence across AMD’s data center

Qualificações

5+ years in BIOS/firmware or system software development.
Strong C programming skills; x86 assembly a plus.
Knowledge of server hardware interfaces (Ethernet, SATA, AHCI, DDR5, PCIe, SPI, I2C, NVMe).
Familiarity with server BIOS architecture and standards (ACPI, SMBIOS, PCIe).
Academic credentials: Bachelor's or Master's in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

Collaborate on end-to-end firmware flows and component integration, communicating design and implementation details.
Design and develop platform BIOS based on silicon and board features.
Participate in triage, debugging, and validation across the product lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
Write high-quality, scalable C/ASM code for BIOS solutions aligned with customer needs and internal goals.
