General Summary

The server is responsible for guest service and sales, ensuring a memorable experience for guests.

Essential Functions

• Greet guests and thank them upon departure, building rapport through conversation.
• Host and bus as needed.
• Utilize the Barrel House Steps of Service.
• Have extensive menu knowledge and describe items effectively.
• Relay orders to bar and kitchen via POS tablet.
• Coordinate with kitchen for food delivery.
• Maintain and set up sections during shifts.
• Multitask across multiple tables.
• Handle cash and close checks accurately.
• Check guest satisfaction and make adjustments as needed.
• Follow up on orders for accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform pre-bus and run food to tables.
• Bring condiments and order supplies.
• Print checks, handle take-out containers, and offer additional services.
• Perform side duties as assigned.
• Deliver professional, courteous service.
• Practice teamwork and assist co-workers.
• Train and guide other servers as requested.
• Adhere to company standards for hygiene and appearance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school or equivalent preferred

Computer Skills: Preferred: Point of Sale System

Experience: 1 to 5 years previous server experience

Physical Requirements

• Mobility for long periods.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
