Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Server Assistant for the Hilton in Harrisburg, PA.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Under general supervision, restocks and replenishes food service supplies, assists wait staff, and removes and resets tables.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Clears all used tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables to tubs in bus station and wipes table, chairs, and clears debris and crumbs from floor areas surrounding the table.
• Resets tables according to established standards to seat new customers quickly.
• Removes full tubs from bus stations to the dishwashing area for cleaning, maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and orderly bus station to improve efficiency.
• Retrieves cleaned dishes, glassware, and utensils from the dish room and distributes to service stations for restaurant use.
• Sweeps restaurant floors throughout the shift; vacuums carpeting and hard floors at shift end.
• Retrieves linen from laundry, folds, and stocks in service stations; delivers soiled linen to laundry at shift end.
• Ensures requisitioned items are correct and stocks supplies properly, rotating stock regularly.
• Assists wait staff by refilling beverages and accommodating requests for condiments, food, or clean tableware.
• Maintains ice stations filled by carrying buckets of ice from the main machine.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, courteous demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

Supports other employees and departments to enhance overall hotel performance.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge: Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.

Skills: Ability to observe the room in poorly lit conditions; dexterity to handle equipment; strength to lift 30 lbs.

Abilities: Follow verbal instructions or examples.

Experience: Previous restaurant experience preferred.

Material/Equipment Used: Standard restaurant equipment, cleaning tools, and exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Environment: Physically strenuous indoor environment with exposure to heat and cold.
