Job summary

Hotel Nikko San Francisco is seeking a dependable Server Assistant / Food Runner to support our restaurant team and deliver exceptional guest service. This role maintains a clean, organized dining environment while ensuring timely and accurate food and beverage service.

Responsibilities include clearing tables, delivering food from kitchen to guests, and assisting servers and bartenders. A California Food Handler Certification and RBS Certification (or willingness to obtain) are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid California Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification, or be willing to obtain both upon hire.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clear, clean, and reset tables; maintain dining room cleanliness throughout service.
• Deliver food from kitchen to guests accurately and efficiently.
• Support servers and bartenders with daily operations.
• Set up and maintain buffet and bar areas, including ice, glassware, and supplies.
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
• Assist as needed with side work and additional assigned duties.
