JOB SUMMARY
The Server Assistant / Food Runner sets and cleans dining room tables before, during, and after meal service as well as assists Servers with their duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent customer service skills, computer and math literate, good verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions.
- Must present a neat and clean personal appearance.
- Must have timely, reliable attendance.
- Must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Education Required: Food Handlers Certification; TABC if 18 years old (within 30-days of hire; will provide); CPR and first-aid certification (will provide).
- Knowledge/Skills/Language Required:
- English language skills. Must be able to clearly communicate verbally with members, guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what members/guests are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS
- Serve water as members/guests are seated; maintain during meal service.
- Assist in carrying food trays to tables.
- Assist Expeditor in plating of food.
- Garnish food when needed.
- Provide food items with necessary sauces, dressings, and condiments.
- Keep Expeditor area stocked with supplies.
- Assist Chef and Sous Chef when needed.
- Wipe down, sweep, and mop Expeditor Area.
- Remove soiled dishes from tables; take to dish washing area.
- Remove soiled linen and replace with clean linen.
- Take down linen basket at the end of the night.
- Set tables with silverware, glassware, and other items.
- Clean dining room areas.
- Polish and sort silverware.
- Help make up missing place settings.
- Stock servers’ station with supplies.
- Collect trash from dining room, terrace, and other specified places after each serving period.
- Dust chairs before and after meals.
- Keep ice bins and buckets filled.
- Assist Servers with beverage orders.
- Perform all other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist other departments when required by management.
- Help out club for special events in a variety of positions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist or reach.
- Use of hands and arms to handle, position, move materials, and manipulate things.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 40 lbs.
- Work environment is fast-paced and noisy.
