Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale seeks a well-rounded Fine Dining Server Assistant for the Orchid Room. You will greet patrons, take orders, serve food and beverages, and strive to create moments of magic for club members.

You will report to the Orchid Room General Manager and support a high-end brunch concept, delivering personalized service in a luxury environment while coordinating with the kitchen and service teams.

Qualifications

  • Previous food running, busser, and server assistant experience preferred.
  • Must have a current Food Handlers card.
  • Ability to stand and lift items up to 25 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended high-volume operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain buffet station, replenish items attractive presentation.
  • Set and maintain dining room tables with proper utensils, glassware, and condiments.
  • Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly; replenish supplies.
  • Support bar operations with opening/closing procedures and garnishes.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly manner and address requests to enhance dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining area, floors, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Coordinate table turnover with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff for efficient service.
  • Assist with beverage service, refilling waters and delivering drinks as needed.

We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Fine Dining Server Assistant - Orchid Room to join our Pier Sixty-Six Club team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our club member. You will be responsible for greeting patrons, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and checking on member satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go the extra mile to turn member interactions into moments of magic.

Reporting to the Orchid Room General Manager you will support and provide excellent service at our new high-end brunch all day concept, locatedon the lobby level of our iconic resort. This high-volume requires a passion for personalized service and guest engagement. The new hot spot inFort Lauderdale will offer luxury productsand service, in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and maintaining the buffet station, ensuring all items are replenished and presented attractively.
  • Setting and maintaining dining room tables according to established standards, ensuring they are clean, properly arranged, and fully equipped with necessary items such as utensils, glassware, and condiments.
  • Supporting servers by clearing and resetting tables promptly, removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils, and replenishing supplies as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience.
  • Supporting bar operations as needed with opening and closing procedures, stocking and restocking, preparing garnish, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar.
  • Interacting with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting with any requests or inquiries they may have, and ensuring their needs are promptly addressed to enhance their dining experience.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dining area, including floors, furniture, and fixtures, to uphold our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Working closely with restaurant servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to coordinate table turnover, communicate guest needs, and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Assisting with beverage service, including refilling water glasses and delivering beverages to tables, to support the overall service flow and enhance guest satisfaction depending on your assignment for the day.
  • Adhering to all resort policies, procedures, and hygiene standards, including food safety guidelines, to maintain a safe and sanitary dining environment for guests and staff.
  • Having a working knowledge of draft beer systems and how to properly change a keg.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability.
  • Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities with efficiency.
  • High level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to [weight] pounds throughout the shift.

  • Ability to maintain balance and stability while carrying trays and navigating uneven or wet surfaces.
  • Ability to visually inspect food orders and identify table numbers, tickets, and service details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with culinary and front-of-house team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot kitchen areas, refrigerated areas, and outdoor environments as applicable.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended periods during high-volume operations.
Qualifications

Experience, Education, & Licensure

  • High School Diploma or GED recommended.
  • Some College experience or Degree recommended.
  • Must have a current Food Handlers card.
  • Previous food running, busser, and server assistant experience in a professional setting is preferred.
