Host Position

Starting wage is $12.48/hr plus tip pool.

Position Summary:

Provide a warm welcome and thank you to guests, coordinate guest flow throughout the restaurant in an organized and timely manner, and ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to Suburban Inns’ Core Values and standards.

Essential Functions:

• Greet guests warmly, ask questions, and make personal connections
• Welcome guests upon entry and thank them upon departure, holding doors when possible
• Seat guests appropriately, balancing server tables
• Assist with table service: filling beverages, clearing dishes, delivering items
• Pre-bus and wipe down tables; clean menus
• Answer phones, take reservations, run to-go orders
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and stock supplies
• Ensure Server Assistant stand is stocked with necessary items
• Follow all company processes
• Maintain regular attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Knowledge: Ability to interpret information and perform arithmetic; good communication skills

• Work Schedule: Varies across day, evening, night, holiday, and weekends based on business needs
• Travel: No travel required; work on-site

Uniform and Appearance:

Uniform shirt and name tag provided; black slacks or jeans (within guidelines); non-slip shoes. Hair must be well-groomed; earrings limited to ears or covered during shift. Policies administered without discrimination. Supervisor has authority over appearance decisions.
