Job description

The Pittsburgh Field Club is seeking proactive and detail-oriented Server Assistants to support our dining team in providing exceptional service to our members and guests. As a Server Assistant, you will work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting with table setup, delivering food and beverages, clearing tables, and providing general support to enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities :

• Assist servers in setting up dining areas before service, including arranging tables, chairs, and table settings
• Refill water glasses, breadbaskets, and other items as needed throughout the meal service.
• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in clearing tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth coordination of service.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including wiping down tables and chairs, and sweeping floors.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to anticipating and meeting guest needs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 16 years or older.
