Job summary

Nobu Hotel Palo Alto is seeking a Server Assistant to join the Nobu restaurant team. This role trains you in fundamental service skills and offers growth within the brand.

You will assist in setting tables, stocking stations, and supporting bartenders and servers, while learning the menu and Chef's instructions to ensure excellent guest experiences. The ideal candidate communicates clearly in English, works well under pressure, and maintains punctuality and reliability.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Server Assistant position is the introduction to our Nobu restaurant family. This is how we train the fundamental skills needed to jumpstart your Nobu career. We promote from within at every opportunity so this position is the first step in building a future with our brand.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSetting and resetting all tablesStocking all service stationsProviding clean share plates for each courseHelping to manage the water levels for our guestsProper table maintenanceLearning the menu items and meeting the minimum “1 test per week” standardRunning dishes and explaining Chef’s enjoying instructions plus ingredientsRunning beveragesSupporting the Bartenders and Servers with the proper service of all guestsOTHER:Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
