The Position

As a Serving Assistant, you will have a range of responsibilities to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. These include setting, preparing, and checking on tables, along with other side tasks like folding napkins. During peak hours, you will play a vital role in running food from the bustling kitchen to the tables, ensuring prompt and efficient service. Additionally, you will be responsible for clearing tables and safely transporting dishes and silverware back to the kitchen.

To support the service team, you will maintain hygienic and well-stocked food stations, ensuring that they are clean and ready for use. As requested, you will help servers, by serving bread and beverages, further enhancing our members' and guests' dining experience, as well as promptly responding to guest inquiries and requests during the meal service will be essential. In addition, you may be called upon to assist with bar preparation and set up, including preparing garnishes and stocking as necessary. Last, but certainly not least, we believe in supporting one another and working as a team in everything we do, so all our server assistants are cross-trained between A la Carte and Banquet Events.

The History

Founded in 1896 as Illinois' third golf club, Exmoor is a private, full-service country club, located in Highland Park, Illinois, 28 miles north of Chicago.

With a championship golf course designed by Donald J. Ross, Exmoor continues to fulfill its original mission as a family club devoted to the game of golf, while offering a growing range of sports and social opportunities.
