Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction: Greet and engage with guests in a welcoming manner while always giving the guest the right of way and working in a respectful manner.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Assist in serving food and beverages promptly and courteously. Assist service team with water service as needed.
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings, to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
  • Set-up and Breakdown: Assist with setting up the restaurant before service in an organized fashion, maintain organization throughout the shift and assist with proper breakdown of areas during closing.
  • Table Management: Set and clear tables efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next guests.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and coordinated service and assist with other tasks as needed to maintain a well-functioning dining environment.
  • Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a server assistant or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Environment

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Licenses or Certificates

  • Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.

Grooming

  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
