Job summary
The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club, operated by Sage Restaurant Group in Aurora, Colorado, is seeking a server-side assistant committed to top-tier guest service. You will collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely food and beverage delivery, maintain spotless stations, and uphold liquor regulations and presentation standards.
Experience with POS systems and menu knowledge will support your ability to assist guests and contribute to a smooth dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the timely delivery of food and beverages, ensuring plate and drink presentations and overall quality meet high standards.
- Clear and reset tables to seat new customers quickly, maintain a clean, stocked bus station, and support efficiency.
- Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware, and garnishes.
- Know menu items, prices, preparation methods, ingredients, and presentation standards.
- Assist in retrieving dishes and distributing to service stations to ensure a ready supply for restaurant use.
- Comply with liquor regulations, including prohibitions on service to minors and intoxicated persons.
- Respond to guest requests promptly with clear communication to the server.
- Operate POS and manual systems, and know table/seat/station numbers and dress code.
- Support other staff and departments to boost overall department and hotel performance.

To act as an assistant to the server, by capably handling all guest needs while working as a cohesive team within the entire Urban Farmer Front of the House Staff.
Responsible for the timely delivery of food and beverages, ensuring that plate and drink presentations along with food quality are of the highest standard possible.
Clear and reset tables in accordance with established standards in order to seat new customers as quickly as possible. Remove full tubs from bus stations to dishwashing area for cleaning, and maintain a clean, well-stocked and orderly bus station at all times in order to improve efficiency and productivity.
Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware, and garnishes in the restaurant.
Retain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware and utensils from the dish room and distribute to each service station in order to keep a ready supply available for restaurant use.
Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
Respond appropriately to guest requests. Be empowered to deliver what the guest needs in a timely fashion and with impeccable communication to the server.
Knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant.
Comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.
