Job summary

Vandelay Companies is seeking a dedicated Server Apprentice for our Vandelay concept in Scottsdale. You will support service staff, maintain cleanliness, and anticipate guest needs to deliver an elevated dining experience.

We seek detail-oriented team players who communicate well, stay punctual, and uphold professional conduct in a fast-paced setting. TABC and state-aligned food/alcohol service certifications are required or pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
• Able to navigate a fast-paced environment with a positive, respectful, professional attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• TABC Certification, as required.
• Certified for food and alcohol service as required by state and local agencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness of restaurant and service areas.
• Assist servers, bartenders and hosts as needed and understand menu items.
• Deliver food from kitchen to tables ensuring accuracy.
• Deliver beverages from bar to tables and keep glasses filled.
• Clear used dishes between courses and after guests depart.
• Communicate with team to ensure efficient seating and service.
• Keep tables and chairs clean and reset vacated tables.
• Perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
