Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Northbrook, IL is seeking a part-time Server for AM and PM shifts to provide friendly, quick service of meals to residents and guests.

You will take orders, coordinate with kitchen, buss and reset tables, and help deliver meals to rooms as needed while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Experience is welcome but not required; Serv Safe certification preferred; team-oriented environment with a focus on hospitality.

Qualifications

• No experience required; food service experience is a plus.
• Serv Safe or other required local, county or state certifications.
• You have the ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
• You take pride in the quality and presentation of food and the cleanliness of work areas.

Job Description

• Accept food orders, communicate to kitchen and deliver food and beverage to residents and/or guests in a timely manner.
• Actively buss and reset tables.
• Deliver food to residents’ rooms as needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary condition of work areas, dishware, and equipment.
• Manager servers and utility workers as needed.

Qualifications

• No experience required, but previous Food Service experience is a plus.
• Serv Safe or other required local, county or state certifications.
• You have the ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
• You take pride in the quality and presentation of food that you have helped to prepare, as well as the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas that you work within.
• You have a generous amount of patience and the ability to effectively communicate with many different types of personalities.
