Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Sandy is seeking a friendly Server for breakfast service (5:30am-11:30am). The role is part-time with hourly pay plus tips, and offers a range of benefits through the Woodbury Group of hotels.

Responsibilities include setting tables, staying current with menu changes, delivering orders, preparing drinks, handling payments, and assisting with events while maintaining professional grooming and excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.
• Some familiarity with basic cooking skills.
• Previous serving experience preferred.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Positive interpersonal skills.
• Current food handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled.
• Stay updated on current menu choices and changes, knowing if items are running low.
• Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Prepare mixed drinks for service to customer’s table.
• Open and pour wine at the tableside.
• Accept payments, issue receipts, and return change.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Prepare the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.


• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu changes, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items…etc.
