Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server systems that support Epic infrastructure, ensuring uptime, patch compliance, and performance tuning.
• Manage Group Policy, Active Directory configurations, and server hardening initiatives.
• Coordinate server patching and vulnerability remediation for Epic applications.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalations related to Epic’s Windows-based systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Security, DBA) to support system upgrades and changes.
• Participate in the evaluation and refinement of server administration procedures and documentation.

Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking a Windows Server System Administrator to support an enterprise-scale Epic implementation for a major healthcare system. This role will sit within a collaborative team supporting mission-critical infrastructure across a hybrid Epic environment. You’ll focus on the backend infrastructure and performance optimization of Windows-based Epic components and services, partnering closely with Deloitte’s engineering team and the internal Cloud Operations group.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

• Familiarity with patch management, server build processes, and vulnerability remediation (e.g., Qualys, Ivanti)
• Comfortable working independently and contributing proactively in a hybrid consulting/client environment
• Able to support change control processes and compliance-aligned infrastructure management
• Epic infrastructure support experience (e.g., Hyperspace, print servers, Citrix) is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
