Job summary

M Crowd Restaurant Group is seeking a Server to provide friendly, attentive service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will guide guests through the menu, take orders, and ensure a memorable experience with strong hospitality and accurate payment handling.

The role requires at least 1 year of server experience, the ability to work 18+, and a valid right to work in the United States. Training is provided and career growth opportunities exist within the team.

Job description

Summary of Server Position:

The Server is responsible for providing friendly, attentive, and efficient service to ensure every guest has an exceptional dining experience. Servers create a welcoming environment, guide guests through the menu, and anticipate guest needs throughout their visit. The primary goal is to deliver outstanding hospitality, so guests leave satisfied and excited to return again and again.

Licensing Requirements:

• Valid Food Handlers Certification
• Valid Alcohol Service Certification

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and receive attentive, personalized service
• Inform guests of specials, menu items, ingredients, and menu changes
• Make guest focused recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
• Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point of sale system
• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
• Conduct age verification for alcoholic service following ABC requirements and Company procedures at all times
• Manage guest liquor consumption effectively and in accordance with ABC requirements and Company procedures
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
• Maintain clean service areas
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise
• Be ready and willing to assist busser with clearing and resetting tables
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or director

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong customer service and hospitality skills
• Knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials
• Ability to make menu recommendations and answer guest questions
• Proficiency in basic math, with the ability to accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions while operating a point of sale (POS) system
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist coworkers as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Minimum one year experience as a server
• Basic knowledge of dining room operations and service procedures
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:

Expected to keep work location a safe and healthy work environment. Utilize basic safety measures to keep the work environment safe. Report any safety concerns to your supervisor. Where safety rules or best practices require that protective clothing/glove/shoes/equipment to be worn, or apparatus utilized, employees must wear clothing /gloves, shoes and equipment and use the apparatus.

• Wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using the bathroom, touching own face or hair, or handling food prep
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the duration of the shift
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop lift and carry up to 40 lbs. or more
• Exposure to varying temperatures, hot (kitchen) and cold (walk ins)
