Job summary

Ayvaz Pizza Hut is seeking a friendly server to manage guest experiences from seating to payment. You will greet guests, take orders, deliver meals, and ensure a clean dining area while earning tips on top of hourly pay.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Server owns the dine-in guest experience from greeting to goodbye. You will take orders, deliver food and drinks, check back on every table, and handle payment, all while keeping your section clean and the dining room welcoming. This role suits someone who enjoys people, stays calm when the dining room fills up, and wants flexible part-time hours with tip-earning potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Experience

• Greeting guests warmly within moments of seating and set a friendly tone for the visit
• Present the menu, explain current promotions, and suggest add-ons such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages
• Take accurate orders, including special requests and allergen questions, and enter them into the POS system
• Deliver food and drinks promptly and check back to make sure every guest is satisfied
• Resolve minor guest concerns on the spot and bring larger issues to the Shift Leader or General Manager

Service & Payment

• Process payments accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments, and follow cash-handling procedures
• Manage multiple tables at once while keeping ticket times on standard
• Coordinate with the kitchen and carryout team so orders are complete, correct, and served hot

Dining Room Standards

• Set, clear, and reset tables quickly to keep the dining room ready for the next guest
• Keep the dining room, restrooms, and service stations clean, stocked, and guest-ready
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and brand standards
• Complete opening, shift-change, and closing side work as assignedSupport teammates in other areas of the restaurant when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Must meet the minimum legal age to sell and serve alcohol in the state where the restaurant is located (18 in Texas)
• Friendly, guest-first attitude and clear communication skills
• Ability to stay organized and work quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Texas locations: Texas Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain it within 60 days of hire
• Texas locations: TABC Seller-Server certification, or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire
• Other states: any food handler and alcohol seller-server certifications required by state or local law, obtained within the required timeframe

Preferred

• 6+ months of serving, hosting, or customer-facing restaurant experience
• Experience with a restaurant POS system

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand and walk for the full length of a shift (typically 4–8 hours)
• Carry trays, pizzas, and dishes, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Bend, reach, and move safely through a busy dining room
• Work around hot surfaces and ovens

SCHEDULE

Part-time, with an average of 20 hours per week. Shifts vary by restaurant needs and typically include lunch, dinner, weekend, and holiday coverage.
