Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a friendly and reliable Server to provide warm hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers in our dining services. You will greet residents, take orders, serve meals, and ensure a clean, pleasant dining environment in accordance with sanitation guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a server, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team to meet residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Server is required.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines is expected.
• Ability to operate cookware, bakeware, and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
• A criminal background check must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assists in food preparation according to the menu and portion sizes.
• Sets up the dining room as instructed.
• Prepares items such as salads and beverages.
• Greets customers as they are seated and ensures utensils and napkins are provided.
• Distributes menus and presents daily specials.
• Takes resident orders and serves meals in a timely manner.
• Ensures food is prepared correctly and to residents’ satisfaction.
• Cleans dining areas, work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Washes cooking equipment and utensils; stores food properly.
• Reports issues to Food Services Director and complies with sanitation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served.
• Sets up dining room as instructed.
• Prepares items such as salads and beverages.
• Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
• Distributes menus and presents daily specials.
• Answers questions regarding the menu
• Takes resident orders in dining room and serves meals to residents in a timely manner.
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to residents’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
• Cleans resident eating areas, work areas, equipment and utensils according to the proper procedures.
• Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen.
• Washes cooking equipment, carts, pots, pans, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans eating and prep surfaces, sweeps and mops floor.
• Removes garbage.
• Stores food in designated areas.
• Reports any issues or problems that may arise to Food Services Director.
• Complies with state and federal sanitation standards.
• Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
• Attends in-services and other required meetings.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Server
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
• Must provide a criminal background check
