Job summary

Raines Co. is seeking a morning server to deliver fast, friendly service, greet guests, explain menu items, and upsell while ensuring guests have an excellent dining experience.

In this role you will take orders, relay them to kitchen, deliver items, check satisfaction, assist bartenders, and maintain a clean station in compliance with health regulations. Two years of server experience preferred; ServSafe/TIPS certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as server in hotels, restaurants, or related fields.
• Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agencies; ServSafe, TIPS certifications preferred or ability to obtain.
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, explain menu items and specials using concise language.
• Listens and responds to guest needs.
• Suggestively sells menu items including appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts.
• Relay guest orders promptly and accurately to kitchen staff.
• Deliver orders to guests within prescribed time limits and ensure accuracy.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and manage refills.
• Assist bartenders or other servers as needed.
• Perform side duties such as cleaning, setting tables, rolling silverware, and sweeping.
• Maintain a clean, presentable station and comply with health regulations.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet guests, explains menu items/specials using concise and descriptive language
• Listens and responds to guest’s needs
• Suggestively sells menu items to include appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts
• Promptly and accurately relays guest orders to kitchen staff
• Picks up and delivers orders to appropriate guests within prescribed time limits, ensuring accuracy of the order
• Returns to the table throughout the guest’s visit to ask if they are satisfied, check for refills, clear items as needed from the table and deliver guest check when appropriate
• Assist bartenders or other servers as needed
• Performs side duties such as cleaning, rolling silverware, setting tables, sweeping, etc
• Maintains restaurants/station in a clean and presentable manner at all times
• Complies with all health and safety regulations

Experience and Education

• Two years’ experience as server in hotels, restaurants, or related fields

Prior Experience As Server, Busser, Runner, Host(ess) Preferred

• Front of House proficiency
• Proficient in POS Systems, Aloha, Micros, etc or similar computer applications
• Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agenciesServSafe, TIPS Certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
