Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Waterbury, CT is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team. You will help create a clean, welcoming dining environment and deliver meals to residents with care and efficiency.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving meals, setting up dining rooms, assisting residents with selections, and helping with inventory and setup for each shift. Join our team and contribute to a respectful, supportive community for our residents while enjoying a benefits package

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or dining operations.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room.
• Assists residents with meal selections and accommodates special needs.
• Prepares dining room for upcoming meals and maintains setup.
• Assists in inventory and restocking of dining supplies.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• This is primarily a standing position and required to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
