Job summary

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a friendly part-time server. You will greet guests, take and deliver orders, and maintain a clean, efficient station while promoting specials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages, take orders, deliver items to guests.
• Maintain station cleanliness and proper setup before, during, and after shifts.
• Warmly greet guests and explain specials or promotions.
• Input orders into POS and relay details to kitchen staff.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal and adhere to safety policies.

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Ability to work with a positive attitude in a team atmosphere.
• Dedication to becoming a "seller" and not an "order taker".
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to all company specs and quality standards.
• Understands the importance of practicing safety and sanitation policies at all times.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
• Demonstrating a high level of organization, cleanliness and a sense-of-urgency.
• Flexible schedule - ability to work days, nights, weekends & holidays.
