Job Summary: The Server is responsible for taking orders for and serving food and beverages with proper table service and hospitality. They will maintain an efficient, profitable, and professional dining room by helping develop repeat customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with hospitality, make personal connections, and maintain proper guest relations during the meal. Act as a brand ambassador for the property and restaurant.
• Work in the dining room, serve food and beverages, and provide table service to guests in a professional, accurate, and friendly manner, following our steps of table service guidelines.
• Perform shift duties such as setup, side work, dining room and server aisle cleanup. Participate as a team player to ensure smooth operations.
• Display a proper professional attitude, demeanor, and cooperation towards guests, peers, and management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of hosting or bussing experience within our company, or serving experience in a full-service restaurant as a substitute.
• Ability to read, speak, and write basic English, including reading tickets and communicating with customers, managers, and other employees.
• Good and positive interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Sales skills are preferred.
• Ability to exercise good judgment.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Ability to act independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication of customer needs, problem-solving, and utilizing management when necessary.
• Basic computational and computer skills to operate POS systems.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, food preparation, and presentation.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, crouch/stoop, twist, and reach for extended periods.
• Stand and walk up to 8 hours per day, including traveling to meetings.
• High energy and physical stamina.
• Ability to reach other departments of the restaurant, kitchen, and bar areas in a timely manner.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. above eye level and balance a food tray.
• Carry and balance a beverage tray.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. intermittently during the workday.
