Job summary

Congressional Country Club is seeking a Server for the House Grill team. The role focuses on warm greetings, attentive service, menu knowledge, and scalable teamwork to create memorable dining experiences for members and guests.

The position requires a friendly, professional, service-focused approach with the ability to handle a fast-paced environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of serving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Present menus, answer questions, and offer thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
• Accurately take and enter orders using the Club's POS system.
• Communicate allergies and special requests clearly with the Kitchen.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly with accuracy and presentation.
• Check in with members during meals and respond to needs promptly.
• Prepare and present accurate checks and process payments.
• Set up and maintain assigned service areas.
• Keep tables and service areas clean and orderly.
• Work closely with Team Members to provide seamless service.
• Address concerns promptly and involve a manager when needed.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work tasks.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and stay informed about menu items and events.

The House Grill is our year-round, three-meal-period family restaurant. We are looking for an engaging and attentive Server who can create memorable dining experiences while providing exceptional food and beverage service to our members and guests.

What will be expected of you:

• Greet members and guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Present menus, answer questions, and offer thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
• Accurately take and enter orders using the Club's point-of-sale system.
• Communicate allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests clearly with the Culinary Team.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Check in with members and guests throughout their meals and respond promptly to their needs.
• Prepare and present accurate checks and process payments appropriately.
• Set up, organize, and maintain assigned service areas.
• Keep tables and front- and back-of-house service areas clean and orderly.
• Work closely with fellow Team Members to provide seamless service.
• Promptly address concerns and involve a manager when additional assistance is needed.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and remain informed about menu items, daily features, and Club events.
