Job summary

WindRiver Living is seeking a part-time Server for its new Clubhouse, opening in October. You will guide guests through the menu, take orders, answer questions, and ensure an unforgettable experience.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, handling cash, setting up and tearing down events, and maintaining a polished, professional appearance during shifts from Thursday to Saturday 4:00 PM–9:00 PM, with additional hours for golf events and member parties as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in full-service restaurant (preferred).
• Country club, hotel banquet, or fine dining aplus.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old for serving alcohol.
• Current TN ABC license or ability to renew or obtain license.
• High School Diploma preferred.

WindRiver's new Clubhouse is opening in October, offering multiple dining options. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking care of the guests as you guide them through menu selection, answer questions, and most importantly ensure an unforgettable experience. You will also be responsible for preparation beforehand, work during the service shift, cleaning for a fresh start the next day, and other assigned responsibilities for WindRiver. This is a part-time role with a general schedule from Thursday to Saturday, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Golf events and special member parties offer additional days and hours.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Precisely take food and beverage orders and enter into the point-of-sale system
• Check identification of guests for legal drinking age
• Memorize menu items and specials for professional recitation
• Up-sell established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
• Maintain professional composure while managing large groups quickly and efficiently
• Provide attentive and polite service throughout meal or event
• Accommodate special requests that the kitchen/grill can deliver for the guest
• Monitor and observe guests' dining experience; ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to requests.
• Assist, as needed, with greeting/seating guests, filling glasses and food deliveries
• Work at each of our dining establishments to accommodate business needs
• Assist setting up, serving, and tearing down of events both on and off location
• Assist the regular cleaning and preparation for service
• Clear guest tables and properly reset tables for serviceSet up bars, including glassware, decor, bar fruit, garnishes and chilling beverages
• Properly date and store all items including equipment, perishable foods, and open wine
• Accurate completion of closing paperwork and cash handling
• Maintain professional appearance, behavior, posture, and hygiene
• Follow daily/weekly/monthly routines to maintain acceptable standard of operation
• Ensure all utilities and equipment (TVs, fans, grill, etc.) are turned off at the end of the day
• Attend all educational, safety, etc. staff meetings
• Perform other duties on property as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Excellent track record of communication skills working as a team player
• Strong organizational skills with the multiple dining tables and bar seating
• Ability to improvise and make decisions based on business or guest needs

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
