Job summary

Grandfather Golf & Country Club in Linville, NC, is seeking new and experienced servers who are positive, outgoing, passionate and hardworking to join our Food & Beverage team. You will work across multiple outlets during member events, delivering exceptional hospitality in a beautiful setting.

Applicants should be 18+, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Server experience in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant or country club setting not required but preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays through July.
• Participation in club events is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat members and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure accuracy of all orders.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Respond promptly to members' and guests' requests and inquiries.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Ensure tables are cleaned and reset after use.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up and break down for various club events.

Responsibilities

• Position requires working in different outlets, and serving during our member events.
• Greet and seat members and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure accuracy of all orders.
• Deliver food and beverage orders to tables in a timely and efficient manner.

• Schedule requires being available for all major holidays through July.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry trays, plates, glassware, and other items up to 30 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and carry out repetitive motions as needed
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy dining environment
