Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our dining team in Newton, MA. You will foster a clean, welcoming dining environment while delivering friendly, personalized service and delicious meals to residents.

The role involves following dietary guidelines, assisting with meal selections, and setting up dining rooms for each service. You must stand for long periods and be able to lift up to 50lbs, with growth opportunities within our community.

Qualifications

• Must follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department guidelines for food service.
• Ability to serve residents promptly and efficiently.
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals in a timely, presentable manner.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handles requests from residents for meal selection assistance or special needs.
• Prepares dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• This is primarily a standing position and required to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
