Job summary

Virgin Hotels Central Services Llc in New Orleans is seeking a Food Admin/Server to deliver exceptional guest service by taking and delivering food and beverages with warmth and knowledge. You will listen, record, and fulfill requests based on guest history and preferences, selling the Virgin experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, coordinating with team members, and presenting menu details to guests.

Qualifications

• Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Food Service Handler Card and TIPS certification valid for at least 6 months.
• Preferred 1–2 years’ experience in a full-service hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding guest service by taking and delivering food and beverage orders.
• Communicate clearly with guests and staff using verbal, written, and body language.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized work environment.
• Clear tables and assist with dishwashing as needed.
• Describe menu details and beverages to guests at delivery time.
• Be a proactive team player and provide FABULOUS guest service.
• Prepare basic non-alcoholic beverages (coffee, water, iced tea, etc.).
• Stand for long periods and carry plates/trays safely.
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly.

• Learn and retain food & beverage and menu knowledge
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders
• Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language
• Maintain a clean, hygienicand organized work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery/glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus,sanitizing tables,etc.
• Clear tables, carry platesto dishwashing area
• Execute fabulous guest service
• Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.
• Enthusiastically describe details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests
• Be a team player!

• Stand for periods of 8-10 hours

• Comply with all safety and health department procedures, as well as, all state and federallaws
• Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards
• Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization and other duties
• Adhere to hotel policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, behavior
