Provides food and beverage service to club members and guests according to established club steps of service guidelines.
Performs all duties with a focus on exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers, attention to detail and sensitivity for confidential material.
Job Tasks (Duties)
- Interacts with members and guests and conscientiously tends to their dining needs, ensuring an enjoyable club experience.
- Sets up side station and performs assigned side work
- Provides immediate attention to all members/ guests upon seating with a pleasant greeting and appearance.
- Assists with greeting and seating guests, distributing menus as needed
- Takes beverage order while guests decide upon entree selection; answers questions and suggests menu items
- Takes members' /guests' orders,
- Enters orders into POS computer; noting any special preparation instructions for kitchen staff
- Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary
- Serves meal
- Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary
- Removes soiled dishes
- Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
- Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and other charges on all checks
- Present the bill
- Handles all cash and/or credit cards as applicable from guests' and members' charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- Keeps tables, dining room and bus station clean and tidy
- Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by supervisor
- Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Head Server or Food and Beverage Manager
- Assists in setup/cleanup for special events and banquets including moving dining room furniture, banquet equipment, and setup/breakdown of folding tables and chairs
- Attends all necessary training classes and related seminars with the purpose of attaining the knowledge of all menu product offered for sale.
- Assists in various administrative/clerical tasks as required
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience
- 1 year customer service experience in an upscale club, restaurant or hotel.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to speak and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who visit the workplace
- Must be able to use point of sale systems and perform simple mathematical calculations.
