Job summary

JGS – Ruth's House in Longmeadow, MA, is seeking a PRN server to provide friendly, respectful meal service to residents, including taking orders and delivering meals. You will also assist with resident requests and help maintain a welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities include setting tables, stocking, clearing dishes, and keeping areas clean, as well as sanitizing spaces per safety guidelines and assisting dietary staff as needed. Join a caring care team.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Fluent English verbal and written communication.

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Provide friendly, respectful meal service to residents, including taking orders, delivering meals, setting up trays, and assisting with resident requests.
• Prepare dining areas by setting tables, stocking supplies, clearing dishes, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment before, during, and after meals.
• Clean and sanitize dining spaces, service areas, and equipment while following food safety, infection prevention, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist dietary staff with meal service tasks, including replenishing beverages and supplies and supporting special dietary needs.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure residents receive timely, courteous service and a positive dining experience.

Qualifications for Success:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with residents, families, visitors, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
