Franciscan Ministries invites applications for a dining services role, rotating between our Healthcare Center and Independent Living in Lindenhurst, IL. The position is full- or part-time with every-other-weekend rotation, offering a sign-on bonus for full-time and part-time staff.

Responsibilities include serving meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the dining services team under supervision. High school diploma required; ServSafe certification if needed.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification if required.
• 1+ years of dining services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and set the table in dining rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas including vents, fryers, flattop, range, steamers, ovens, refrigerators, coolers, and storage areas.
• Bus dining room as needed and run dishes through the dishwasher.
• Wash pots and pans as needed.
• Put clean dishes away in appropriate places.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed.
• Dispose of garbage appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and instructed by the Dining Services management team.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

• Serve meals to the residents and set the table in the dining rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas including but not limited to vents, fryers, flattop, range, steamers, ovens, refrigerators, coolers, and storage areas.
• Bus dining room as needed and send dishes through the dishwashing machine.
• Wash pots and pans as needed.
• Put clean dishes away in appropriate places.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed.
• Dispose of garbage appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
