Job summary

Ginger and Baker in Fort Collins, CO, seeks hospitality professionals to join its team. The venue features a historic setting with a restaurant, coffee shop, teaching kitchen and market, offering a variety of dining experiences.

You will provide attentive service, know the history of the building, help guests navigate the menu, and maintain high sanitary standards. The role requires flexibility with days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of relevant experience.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Proficient written and oral communication with management, professional and support staff.
• TIPS and SERV Safe certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and friendly service to customers.
• Attend to customers upon entrance and be willing to answer the phone promptly and navigate guests to tables.
• Retain understanding of ingredients, techniques and flavor profiles of all food and beverage.
• Serve and help guests select food/beverages.
• Identify guests' dietary needs and communicate with back of house.
• Ensure all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner.
• Follow sanitary requirements for table and personal cleanliness.
• Work as a team to run food and drinks, clear tables, and greet customers.
• Follow safety policies and report incidents to supervisor.
• Duties may change at any time with or without notice.

It requires a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have basic proficiency of Microsoft Word & Excel software applications.• Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff are also required.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
