Job summary

The Glebe is seeking a Part-Time Dining Assistant to join our team in Daleville, Virginia. You will welcome diners, help them find seating, and ensure they have a pleasant dining experience.

This role supports service operations and contributes to a warm, friendly community atmosphere within our Life Plan Community. As a part-time member of the dining team, you will follow service procedures, assist with food presentation, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards to deliver quality guest

The Glebe | Daleville, VA
The Glebe is seeking a Part-Time Dining Assistant to join our team!
Dining Assistants welcome diners, help them find seating, and make sure they are comfortable and have a pleasant dining experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Presets dining areas in preparation for meal service
• Checks dishes, linens, and utensils for cleanliness
• Arranges buffet stations with food, garnishes, and decorations according to service diagram
• Greets customers pleasantly, reviews menu items, and obtains meal orders
• Serves customers in accordance with service procedures and removes soiled dishes as courses are completed
• Corrects errors and fulfills special requests promptly and courteously
• Portions and plates food items according to service standards
• Follows HACCP guidelines for food handling
• Demonstrates dependability in attendance and completion of job tasks
• Practices personal cleanliness, wears clean uniforms and hair coverings as per department dress code
• Approaches customers and others in a courteous, friendly manner
• Completes other duties as requested by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications
