Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC. is seeking a Part-Time Server for our community restaurant in Burr Ridge, IL. Schedule: 2pm-7pm, weekends and holidays.

You will greet residents, present menus, suggest dishes, guide to tables, and handle drink orders using our POS system. You will also complete dining room duties per community standards.

We value compassion, strong customer service, and a valid Food Handler's Card; vaccination is encouraged but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or caregiving settings preferred.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's Card as required by state regulations.
• Strong customer service presentation and ability to interact warmly with residents.

• Direct residents to tables and present menus; suggest dishes and assist in drink selection.
• Communicate resident orders using the point of sale system.
• Complete all dining room opening and closing duties as required by the community.

Job Description

Schedule: Part Time, 2pm-7pm, Weekends and Holidays

As a Server in our community restaurant, YOU… help create an incredible dining experience; build relationships with residents; and consistently deliver the service a guest would expect in their favorite restaurant. Their satisfaction starts with YOU!

• As a Server, you will direct residents to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes and assist in drink selection
• Communicate specific resident orders, utilizing our state-of-the-art point of sale system
• Complete all dining room opening and closing duties as established by your community

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents
• If under the age of 18 must provide proper schoolwork authorization(if applicable)
• Server, must currently hold a Food Handler's Card, or be willing to obtain one facilitated by Spectrum, as required by state and/or county regulations
• It is required for a Server to have strong customer service presentation
