Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group is seeking a Server in our 50 Restaurant 1 department to create memorable dining experiences for guests. This hourly, full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality and delivering attentive, friendly service.

You will take orders, input into the POS, coordinate with kitchen and bar, and ensure accurate presentation and timely service. The role requires strong English communication, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to stand, lift up to 25

As a Server in our 50 Restaurant 1 department, you will play a central role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will be the primary point of contact between guests and the kitchen, ensuring that orders are accurately taken, expertly delivered, and that every guest feels welcome and well cared for throughout their visit.

What You'll Do

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, presenting menus and explaining daily specials or featured items.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them correctly into the POS system, and communicate any special requests to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely, professional manner, ensuring proper presentation, accuracy, and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor guest experience throughout the meal, refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and anticipating needs without being intrusive.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings to enhance the guest experience.
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, escalating to a supervisor or manager when needed.
• Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit card transactions securely, and follow all closing check procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked service station, including side work such as rolling silverware, restocking condiments, and preparing service areas.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and cleaning procedures.
• Collaborate closely with hosts, bartenders, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and efficient table turns.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, promotions, and service standards.
• Uphold company policies, standards of conduct, and dress code to represent the restaurant professionally at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server or in a guest-facing restaurant position preferred; equivalent hospitality experience will be considered.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact clearly and courteously with guests and team members.
• Ability to learn and retain detailed menu information, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Comfort using a point-of-sale (POS) system for order entry and payment processing; basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist colleagues and support the overall success of the restaurant.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays and plates, and lift up to approximately 25 pounds as required.
• Must meet local age requirements for serving alcohol, if applicable, and comply with all responsible alcohol service regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
