Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Corrections seeks a Security Supervisor for Prisma Hospital. Under the Captain, you will plan, coordinate, and direct security staff, overseeing inmate custody and control within the hospital setting.

You will supervise daily operations, instruct staff, and respond to staff concerns. You will inspect posts, maintain knowledge of inmate security status, manage keys/equipment, and compile reports.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and relevant experience. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
• Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy and successfully complete the basic supervisory course within six (6) months of entry into the position.
• Two (2) years' experience in correctional, security, military, or police work, with at least one (1) year in a medium/maximum setting.
