Position Summary:

We are seeking qualified SERE Instructors to support Naval Special Warfare Advanced Training Command (NSWATC). This role involves delivering advanced Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) and Personnel Recovery (PR) training to Naval Special Warfare (NSW) trainees and select personnel, ensuring they gain the knowledge, skills, and resilience to return with honor in hostile environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Deliver comprehensive advanced SERE/PR instruction tailored to NSW personnel.
2. Conduct realistic field exercises simulating high-risk scenarios.
3. Teach core survival skills such as shelter construction, navigation, water and food procurement, signaling, and tactical movement.
4. Implement resistance training scenarios for endurance during captivity.
5. Ensure training compliance with DoD policies and NSWATC guidance.
6. Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and conduct debriefs.
7. Assist in curriculum development and revision.
8. Monitor student safety and health, and respond to safety concerns.
9. Operate and maintain training equipment and tools.
10. Collaborate with training staff and command leadership.

Required Skills and Abilities:

1. Former or current U.S. military service member at E-4 or higher with at least four years of honorable service.
2. Completion of an approved DoD Instructor Training Course or equivalent.
3. Graduate of an approved DoD SERE Level “C” course and qualified as a SERE instructor.
4. Experience as a military instructor delivering classroom and field training.
5. Active SECRET security clearance.
6. Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to operate government vehicles.
7. Proficiency and safety in weapons handling.
8. Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts under stress.
