Job summary

Amentum in Southern Pines, NC seeks a SERE Instructor to train DoD personnel in Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) following DoD policy. This on-site role involves delivering instruction, assessing learners, and applying blended learning techniques across diverse settings.

The position offers an hourly rate of $32.00–$35.00 under the Service Contract Act, with benefits including health/dental/vision, PTO, retirement matching, educational reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required to obtain Top-Secret clearance
• Pass a human-factors screening
• Experience delivering instructional sessions that meet learning objectives
• Effective presentation and facilitation skills
• Proficiency with informal lecture, guided discussion, and role play
• Basic MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint) and email usage
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent communication and adaptability
• Willingness to travel for an on-site interview

Responsibilities

• Conduct instruction across individual, small, and large groups on SERE principles
• Assess student performance during learning processes
• Use blended learning techniques (eLearning, lectures, discussions, exercises)
• Develop training materials and coordinate training events
• Provide guidance and coaching to colleagues
• Work in austere conditions with nonstandard hours and occasional weekends; travel may be required
