Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for residential and commercial septic pumping and disposal of non-hazardous waste, with direct contact with all Wilson Services customers. The employee will be responsible for maintaining a septic truck and following all DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations. This includes pre/post trip inspections and reporting issues to management. The employee will also follow a GPS route through a tablet.

Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate various trucks, including septic trucks (manual/automatic transmission), hook trucks, and dump trucks.
  2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
  3. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  4. Communicate effectively with managers, customers, and team members.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement; willingness to obtain if not held.
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening.
  • Valid medical card, renewed as needed.
  • Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret policies, safety rules, maps, and road signs.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Knowledge of basic hand and mechanical tools.
  • Team player with a good attitude and work ethic, eager to learn.
