Job summary

Kootenai Health is seeking an RN Time Sensitive Emergency Sepsis Program Coordinator to lead the sepsis program across care settings. You will coordinate evidence-based care, develop protocols, and drive quality improvement with the Sepsis Medical Director and Emergency Services Director.

This role emphasizes data analysis, inter-professional collaboration, and staff education to reduce mortality, complications, and length of stay for sepsis patients while maintaining current best practices.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Master’s of Nursing preferred; enrollment encouraged within 3 years of hire.
• State RN license in Idaho or compact with Idaho prior to start date.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical Emergency or Critical Care experience.
• CEN, CCRN, CVBC or similar specialty certification within 2 years.
• Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency.
• EMS systems knowledge preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans, organizes, manages, and evaluates the Sepsis program at Kootenai Health.
• Standardizes and enhances the quality of care for sepsis patients regionally.
• Coordinates sepsis program with inter-professional teams for optimal outcomes.
• Develops and implements sepsis protocols and procedures based on current evidence.
• Leads performance improvement, analyzes outcomes, and presents data to stakeholders.
• Supports education for staff and providers to advance evidence-based practice.
