Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an operator to run the separator process, ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and food safety. The role requires following GMPs and sanitation protocols while maintaining accurate process documentation.

The position involves working in a fast-paced plant setting, collaborating with teammates, and participating in required trainings to uphold regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or license - may be required during course of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate the separator process to maximize production while maintaining product quality and safety.
• Maintain defined processing parameters to achieve optimum efficiencies and minimize downtime.
• Monitor and document processes, perform quality checks, and implement changes when needed.
• Perform CIP and manual cleaning on related equipment as required.
• Support sanitation activities and Master Sanitation schedule tasks.
• Report food safety or quality issues to management immediately.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Monday‑Friday; Weekends as needed

General Purpose

Operate the separator process in an efficient manner to maximize production while maintaining product quality and safety.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the defined processing parameters to achieve optimum efficiencies while minimizing downtime
• Monitor and document processes to include quality checks, while administering changes when needed
• Perform CIP as needed on all related equipment. Perform manual cleaning as necessary
• Perform general housekeeping and Master Sanitation schedule task as necessary
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
• Attend required training, including but not limited to: GMP's HAACP, SQF, and Safety

Education and Experience
