Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a dedicated operator to run the separator process with a focus on safety and product quality. The role requires following precise processing parameters, documenting quality checks, and performing routine cleaning as necessary.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate the separator process to maximize production and maintain quality and safety.
  • Maintain defined processing parameters to achieve optimum efficiencies and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and document processes including quality checks; implement changes as needed.
  • Perform CIP and manual cleaning on related equipment as necessary.
  • Follow GMP and all regulatory requirements; maintain safe working conditions.
  • Attend required training including GMPs, HAACP, SQF, and Safety.

Job description

2pm - 10pm

Monday-Friday; Weekends as needed

General Purpose

Operate the separator process in an efficient manner to maximize production while maintaining product quality and safety.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain the defined processing parameters to achieve optimum efficiencies while minimizing downtime
  • Monitor and document processes to include quality checks, while administering changes when needed
  • Perform CIP as needed on all related equipment. Perform manual cleaning as necessary
  • Perform general housekeeping and Master Sanitation schedule task as necessary
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to: GMP’s HAACP, SQF, and Safety

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Production or general work experienced preferred
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

  • Able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
