Job summary

EMR Group seeks an experienced Mechanic for our metal recycling yard in New Orleans, LA. This full-time role focuses on heavy equipment and conveyor systems with preventive maintenance and diagnostics to keep operations running smoothly.

You will service material handlers, loaders, excavators, and other machinery, performing fuel, lubrication, inspection, testing, and parts installation as directed. Compensation depends on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience repairing metal processing equipment and trucks helpful.
• Background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and conveyors.
• Inspect, diagnose, dismantle, repair, and install parts as directed.
• Maintain fuel and lubrication schedules and test equipment operation.
• Work onsite at the New Orleans facility and support conveyors and machinery.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic for our state of the art metal recycling yard located on Florida Ave. in New Orleans, LA - Join a global leader in the Metal Recycling Industry!

This is a Full-Time position opportunity.

We have heavy equipment such as material handlers, front end loaders, and excavators that are essential to our operations. We also have conveyor belts.

The Mechanic that we are looking for must have flexibility to work on heavy equipment as well as machinery, and maintain equipment through planned and preventative maintenance procedures as directed. This includes fuel and lubrication, inspecting and testing, diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling and reassembling, and installing parts.

The Mechanic will also be able to work on our facility conveyor belts, and other machinery.

We are seeking a very skilled Mechanic with at least 5 years of maintenance experience. Experience in repair of metal processing equipment and trucks is helpful. We would like to see a background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical areas.

Compensation is dependent on experience.
