Job description

Salary: P90,000-P110,000 (Salary Package)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (07:00 AM - 04:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in SEO, preferably within the news or publishing industry
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or related areas.
  • Experience with Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies and understanding of AI-driven search engines.
  • Familiarity with schema markup, structured data, and other advanced SEO techniques.

What will you do?

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic growth.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value search terms relevant to our content and audience
  • Perform on-page optimisation, including meta tags, headers, content structure, and internal linking
  • Execute technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues affecting site performance, crawlability, and indexation.
  • Collaborate with editorial, commercial and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation and website development.
  • Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs, and provide regular reports with actionable insights.
  • Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, including developments in GEO, to ensure our strategies remain effective
  • Develop and manage link-building campaigns to enhance domain authority and search visibility
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on SEO best practices and emerging trends
