ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Email + SEO Specialist to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who loves crafting engaging emails, optimizing content for the web, applying out-of-the-box SEO techniques, and ensuring a seamless digital experience for our clients. You’ll manage email campaigns from creation to execution, make SEO and content-driven website updates, and collaborate with our team to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Marketing (50%)

• Design, build, test, and schedule email campaigns (newsletters, promotions, transactional, automated drip campaigns, etc.)
• Manage email lists, segmentation, and audience targeting
• Optimize email performance through A/B testing and analytics
• Ensure email content is on-brand and follows best practices for deliverability and engagement

SEO + Web Content Updates (50%)

• Write SEO meta-data, schema, and alt-tags, and implement them in website CMS platforms.
• Stay up-to-date on SEO trends and generative search
• Make minor edits to web pages, including updating copy, images, and formatting (via CMS)
• Ensure web content aligns with brand voice, SEO best practices, and user experience goals
• Troubleshoot minor website issues and coordinate with developers for more complex updates
• Manage third-party business listings such as Google, Bing, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Apple Maps

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate meets the following criteria –

• 3+ years of experience in email marketing and/or web content management
• Proficient in email marketing platforms (Revinate, Mailchimp), Canva, Website CMS platforms (WordPress, SquareSpace, WebFlow, Drupal), Asana, and Google Suite.
• Familiarity with Google Search Console and SEMRush
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email and web edits (a plus, but not required)
• Love of emerging trends (AI, TikTok, etc)
• Identifies as a motivated self-starter and clear communicator
• Analytical mindset - comfortable interpreting email performance data and making recommendations
• Comfortable with the nuances of a small business, like changing priorities and creative problem-solving
• Loves travel, hotels, restaurants, and reality TV

DETAILS

• Base salary is $60-70K based on experience
• The role is a fully remote, full-time position. San Francisco Bay Area preferred.
• Travel may be required up to 15% of the time
